The Bosch Group first entered the Chinese market in 1909, when it setup the first sales office. In 1926, the first Bosch aftermarket car servicecenter was opened in Shanghai. By adhering to its "local for local"strategy, Bosch has been deeply involved in China's economic develop-ment and has grown together with the domestic market.
In China, the Bosch Group manufactures and markets automotive origi-nal equipment and aftermarket products, industrial drives and controltechnology, power tools, household appliances, security and commu-nication systems as well as thermotechnology solutions. Bosch createstechnology that is "Invented for life." As of December 31, 2024, Boschoperated 65 legal entities and facilities in China. Bosch employs over56,000 associates in China and generated sales of 142.7 billion CNY in2024. China is an important market of Bosch Group, and it also boaststhe largest number of associates outside of Germany.
