Bosch Home Comfort is part of the Bosch Group, with a heritage in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) dating back to 1731. In line with the global energy transition and the growing demand for sustainable development, Bosch completed the acquisition of Johnson Controls' global residential and light commercial HVAC business, as well as the Johnson Controls–Hitachi Air Conditioning joint venture, on July 31, 2025.

Bosch Home Comfort in China
Following the successful business integration in 2025, Bosch Home Comfort China has further strengthened its local presence by establishing a fully integrated R&D, manufacturing, and sales ecosystem . Centered on a comprehensive product portfolio, end-to-end system solutions, and full lifecycle services, the company serves residential, commercial, and industrial markets with a strong focus on energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies.
The integration has significantly expanded Bosch Home Comfort China's product portfolio, enhanced its R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and strengthened its market coverage. Today, the company offers comprehensive HVAC solutions spanning air conditioning, heat pumps, heating, hot water, compressors, and smart controls, making it one of the few companies in China with a complete HVAC product portfolio.
Bosch Home Comfort China operates 10 major sites across the country, including:
- Shanghai – Gas appliance R&D and manufacturing base, and China headquarters
- Guangzhou – Scroll compressor and large commercial air conditioning manufacturing
- Wuhu – Residential air conditioner and VRF R&D and manufacturing
- Wuxi – One of Bosch Home Comfort's global air conditioning R&D centers
These sites integrate R&D, intelligent manufacturing, sales, and customer service, supported by a robust localized operating model and supply chain network.
Bosch Home Comfort currently employs more than 3,000 people in China. Its product portfolio includes floor-standing boilers, wall-hung gas boilers, residential air conditioners, VRF systems, large commercial HVAC systems, compressors, and heat pumps. The company operates CNAS-accredited laboratories , has an annual compressor production capacity exceeding 9 million units , owns hundreds of core patents, and has received numerous international design awards, demonstrating its recognized product quality and technological leadership.
